Sybil C Holzschuh

Sybil C. Holzschuh, age 95, of Waretown, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 8, 2018. Born in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom, she moved to the US and lived for many years in Waretown. Sybil was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 54 of Tuckerton. Sybil was an artist in many mediums. She enjoyed making ceramics, porcelain dolls, needlepoint, and knitting. She was an avid gardener, expert bird watcher, and all around animal lover. A lifelong story-teller, she was always willing to share her tales with anyone who has a minute. Sybil preserved the stories of her youth and ancestry in a published autobiography, The Lewis Tribe; a treasure to those she has left behind. Predeceased by her husband Simon, she is survived by her daughter, Melody and husband Wayne; daughter Crystal and fianc Gary, son Wade and wife Diane; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, February 23rd 2018 from 11:00am until 1:00pm with an Eastern Star Service at 12:30pm at Lacey Memorial Home 1022 Lacey Road. Forked River. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Childrens Hospital can be made in memory of Sybil.
