Shirley Howard

Shirley A. Howard, age 82, of Toms River, passed away on November 1, 2018. Born in East Rutherford, she lived in Dingmans Ferry, PA and Port St. Lucie, FL before moving to Toms River. Shirley worked on the Ring Ding line at Drakes Bakeries in Wayne, NJ for 32 years. She was a Union Rep and Shop Steward for the Bakery and ConfectionaryUnionLocal 50. Predeceased by her husband John in 2011; Shirley is survived by her children and their spouses Linda and her husband Paul Tavares, of Dartmouth, MA; Raymond and his wife Roberta Crispino of Mine Hill, NJ; Gerry and Ann Crispino of Charles Town, WV; Susan Thomas of Beachwood; and Karen and Patsy DiPaolo of Lanoka Harbor. Also surviving are her 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, her former spouse and friend,Raymond Crispino and his wife Diane; and her faithful companion, her dog Pippy. A gathering to celebrate Shirleys life will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Lacey Memorial Home 1022 Lacey Road Forked River. Relatives and Friends are invited to join the family for a service of remembrance and sharing of memories beginning at 3:00pm Saturday at the funeral Home.
