Robert O. Krampetz, 94, of Waretown passed away Tuesday, March 10th at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin. Born 1920 in Newark, NJ, Bob, as he was known to his friends, lived in Irvington with his wife Barbara. They always maintained a shore bungalow in Waretown, moving down full time to live on the water in the Holiday Beach home they built in the late 70s with the help of friends and family. They enjoyed many memorable years of dancing, boating, crabbing and social gatherings with neighbors at the Holiday Beach Club. Bob served in the US Army during WWII, honorably discharged in 1945. He was a Free Mason, a member of the Forked River Elks Club and a hospital volunteer at Community Medical Center, Toms River, still serving customers at their Waretown Thrift store at age 90. Robert is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara, his two sisters, and three brothers. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. A Viewing will be held Monday, March 16th from 11AM-1PM at the Lacey Memorial Home, 1022 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ. A brief service will follow in the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Garden of Memories Mausoleum at Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River, NJ. All are welcome.
