Robert John Zimbardo

Robert John Zimbardo, 65, of Toms River passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at home. Born in Newark, he was raised in Union for many years before moving to Brick Township, and recently Toms River. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Zimbardo was a Firefighter for the Township of Union, rising to the rank of Captain. He enjoyed fishing, cars, and sports. He was predeceased by his parents, Dominick in 2019 and Jean (Szumlicz) Zimbardo in 2003; brother Dominic Zimbardo in 1987, and sister, Gina Zimbardo in 2014. He is survived by his children, Deidra and Robert Zimbardo; 2 sisters, Carolyn Zulla, and Mary Ellen Morreale; and 1 grandchild Luke Robert Zimbardo. Private services will be held on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
