Robert C. Malachowski

Robert C. Malachowski, (Bob), age 67, passed away at his home in Barnegat on Friday, March 11, 2022. Bob was born and lived in Jersey City until he and his wife moved to Jackson, N.J. in 1997. He settled in Barnegat in 2019. Bob was a signalman for New Jersey Transit Railroad, based in East Orange. He was a 1972 graduate of Dickinson High School in Jersey City, where he was a standout basketball player and a member of the school's State Championship team. He was an avid chef, enjoyed bowling, and was an enthusiastic New York Giants and Mets fan. Bob is survived by his wife, Lisa; his sister Janet of Manchester; brother-in-law Stephen J. Lemanski of Princeton; his sister-in-law Linda Vitale and her husband Michael of Jackson; two nephews, Justin Emanuel Ruta and Zachary Edward Lemanski; and his cousin, Nancy Healy. Private services were held under the care of Forked River Funeral and Cremation Service, 1022 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ.
