Paul "Paulie"Szayway,born on Feb. 22, 1954 in Garfield, NJ to the late Jennie and Walter Szayway, passed away peacefullyat age 64 on June 8, 2018.Paul loved the outdoors, fishing, and boating. He loved animals, especially dogs, but he had a true passion for men and women in uniform, saluting every one he met to let them know how much he appreciated them andloved our country.Paul was preceded in death by his sisters, Jane and Gloria, and his brother Walter. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Raymond Kecmer;many nieces andnephews,who loved their "Uncle Paulie" and the immense love he gave in return;Laura and Craig, Brendan and Taylor, CJ, Jacqueline, Brett,Linda, Nancy and Karen; as well as many cousins and friends. The amount of love that Paul had forthose around him is immeasurable.He loved his 21 Plusfamilylike his own, looking forward to the21Plus program and the staff everyday. The love they shared created lifetime bond, and Paul loved his roommates like brothers. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.Friends and family can pay their respects from 4:00 to 7:00pm on Monday, June 11at the Lacey Memorial Home, 1022 Lacey Rd, Forked River.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Tuesday, June 12, from St. Stanislaus RC Church in Garfield. Burial will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery in South Hackensack.
