Marilyn L. Ghents

Marilyn Lois Ghents (nee Gawron), was born in Passaic, New Jersey, on November 1, 1939, and died on February, 16, 2020, in Toms River at Community Medical Center, at the age of 80. Marilyn attended elementary schools in Garfield and Paterson and attended Plainfield Adventist Academy and Batten High School in Elizabeth. She worked as a secretary at the Hartford Insurance Company for more than thirty years. She was a faithful member of the Hackettstown Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sigmond and Mary (Veleber) Gawron, and her husband, Charles Ghents. She is survived by her son, David Gawron of Helmetta and two sisters, Judith Winans of McKinney, Texas, and Janet Walker of Martinsburg, West Virginia. She is also survived by three nephews, Ron Laing, Jeffrey Laing, and Marc Walker, one niece, Jill Gonzalez, and several grand- nephews and grand-nieces. The memorial service will be at the Forked River Funeral Home, 1022 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ 08731 on Thursday, February 27, at 10:00 AM. Internment will be at the East Ridge Lawn Cemetery in Clifton, New Jersey.
