Lillian H. McElhinney, who passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 22, surrounded by her loving family, was born on February 16, 1930 in Roebling, NJ Lillian lived in New York with her husband and 2 daughters before moving to Union Beach NJ in 1978. She later moved with her daughter Maryellen and son-in-law Ricardo and family to Lanoka Harbor, NJ in 2004 and was happily living there enjoying her grandchildren. Lillian worked at NYU Medical Center in the Cardiology Department for 25 years before her retiring in 1996. Lillian loved her job, but her first priority was always her family. She was amazingly devoted to her children and grandchildren. Another passion for her was the theater and travel. She was fortunate enough to have been able to travel to many places in our big, beautiful world. Lillian was preceded by her husband Thomas J. Scotty McElhinney Lillian is survived by her 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn E. McElhinney-Gough and husband Raymond A. Gough of Oakfield, ME and Maryellen Lopez and husband Ricardo A. Lopez of Lanoka Harbor, NJ. Lillian is also survived by 8 grandchildren Christine M. Wilson, Michael P. Wilson and his wife Jamie, Elizabeth S. Wilson, John F. Wilson and his wife Holly, Robert T. Lopez, Allyson I. Lopez, Airman Andy Camilo Lopez and Kathleen L. Lopez and 1 great granddaughter Liliana M. Wilson. Additionally, Lillian is also survived by 2 sisters and many nieces and nephews. Lillian had a tremendous impact on all the lives she touched. She will be sorely missed.
