Kenneth Mcateer

Kenneth McAteer, 44, of Toms River passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 after a long but courageous fight with cancer. Born in Rahway, Kenny grew up in Brick and has been a lifelong Ocean County resident.

Kenny was a marble and granite installer for 25 years, and was the owner of Quartz Tops, East Brunswick. He was a talented artist and writer, and enjoyed listening to music, fresh and saltwater fishing, and tattoos. More than anything else, he loved his children and family.

Kenny is survived by his children, Michael and Madison; his father, Kenneth Sr.; his sisters, Jennifer Molino and her wife Daniele and Michele Varano; his brother-in-law Joseph Varano; his niece, Victoria Varano; his ex-wife, Sage Lorman; and his mother, Anne Surma and her husband Paul.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-7:30pm, and on Friday from 10-11am at the Forked River Funeral and Cremation Service, 1022 Lacey Road, Forked River. Interment will be Friday at 11:30am at Ocean County Memorial Park, 280 Wells Mills Road, Waretown.
