Joseph J. Caputo Iii

Joseph J. Caputo III, 51, of Lacey Township, passed away on Sunday October 31, 2021 at home. Born in Newark, he lived in Irvington and Keansburg before settling in Lacey, where he lived for many years. Mr. Caputo actively participated in all of his children's sports activities, including coaching Pop Warner football, roller hockey, and basketball. He enjoyed playing golf, and bowled for many years in leagues at Howell Lanes. He was a lifelong Jets fan, but above all enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who he loved taking care of and playing with. He is survived by his wife, soulmate and best friend Kelly; his children: Joseph J IV, Zachary and his fianc Allura, Anthony and his wife Shana, Brady and his wife Sumer, Nicholas and his girlfriend Emily, and Jarett; his mother and father Linda and Joseph Pino; Five grandchildren: Brixon, Maeve, Troy, Lyla, and Lillyanna; his sister Angela Kerton; and his former wife Joyce Caputo. Cremation was private. A memorial visitation and service will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 6-9pm at Forked River Funeral and Cremation service, 1022 Lacey Rd, Forked River.
