Jonathan L. Scherr, 69, of Lacey, passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2024. Jonathan was born in Queens, NY, and was raised on Long Island. After college, he relocated to New Jersey, where he eventually settled in Lacey with his wife Christine in 1994.
Jonathan worked as an Automotive Repair Technician and was the owner of Action Tire Service Center in Forked River for 40 years, before retiring in 2022. Jon had many customers in the community that loved and trusted him immensely. He was an avid fisherman, spending time on his boat in the ocean brought him so much joy. He also enjoyed attending NHRA drag races and was fond of classic cars. His favorite place to travel and spend time with his family was in Aruba. We love you and will miss you until we see you again.
Jonathan was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Beatrice Scherr. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Christine; his children Elizabeth and Matthew Scherr; his stepson George Corrao and stepdaughter Grace Corrao and her fiancé Dylan Matlaga; his sister Stephanie Scherr and her husband Jim Edwards; his sister Tracey Scherr and her husband Richard Cohen; his grandchildren Bria Scherr and Nicolette Corrao; and his nieces Nicole and Alexa Cohen.
