Isabel F Gobbo

Isabel F. Gobbo, 99, of Whiting passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 24. Born in Union City, she lived in Beachwood for many years before moving to Whiting. Isabel was a talented seamstress, working in the designer clothing industry in West New York before retiring in 1975. She would often sew and cook for her family and friends; she was also a music lover and enjoyed dancing. Isabel was a loving mother and cherished grandmother who will be greatly missed. Surviving are her children; Elaine Avery of Brooklyn; Lucille Gurski of Whiting, Joan and her husband Billy DeMarco of Little Ferry; and Michael and his wife Tara Gobbo of Whiting; her 12 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. Relatives and Friends may attend viewing hours from 2-4 and 6-9pm on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Lacey Memorial Home 1022 Lacey Road Forked River, NJ 08731. A Funeral Service will be held at 8pm Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be on Saturday in Whiting Memorial Park, Whiting, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oceans of Love in memory of Isabel Gobbo.
