Glenn M. Ashman, 72, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2023 with his devoted wife and family by his side. His birthdate was June 12, 1950 and was born and raised in the Bronx before moving to New Milford in 1967, where he graduated from New Milford High School. It was there he met the love of his life, Patricia Stapleton, whom he lovingly referred to as his “Peppermint Patti!” They married on February 20, 1971 and had their precious only child Dawn Patricia. They resided in Bergenfield, then Hackensack before making their way to Manahawkin NJ and ultimately moving to Barnegat.
Glenn worked in a variety of positions before settling down in his lifelong career as a Butcher, eventually retiring from Murphy’s Market in Medford, NJ. He absolutely loved the Art of Tattooing and proudly displayed this passion on the canvas of his body. He also loved cars, in particular “The Thunderbird” and the rare White German Shepherd. In his most recent days, he reflected on happier times when he and his Peppermint Patti would enjoy going out on their excursions of shopping , car shows , collecting and dining together. He too, like his daughter enjoyed the comforts of home. After struggling for so long , he was at peace that he would be reunited with his daughter. He hoped that his wife would find comfort in that and would honor and cherish their memories by living her best life as she navigates the next chapter until the day for them all to be reunited again. His Mantra for her, “There Goes Happy Feet!”
Glenn was predeceased by his daughter Dawn Patricia, and his parents George and Alice Ashman. He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Stapleton Ashman of 52 Years, his brother George Ashman and his wife Barbara, his sister Joan Ashman and his many adored nieces and nephews.
A private family celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
