Evelyn Storms

Evelyn Storms, age 90, of Forked River, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at her home. Born in Hoboken, she lived in Hasbrouck Heights and Oradell, NJ before retiring to Pheasant Run, Forked River in 1986. Evelyn was very involved in her community, where she was an active parishioner of St. Pius X RC Church, Forked River; she was a Red Hat Lady, she enjoyed playing Bingo and Bridge with her friends, and would organize the Atlantic City bus trips with her best friend, Mary. Evelyn recently celebrated her 90th birthday at Harrahs Atlantic City with her family and friends. She was always the life of the party. Her favorite cocktail was Grey Goose on the rocks. Evelyn will always be remembered for her vivacious personality, and her genuine love for life. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1995. Surviving are her sons; John and his wife Mary of Old Bridge, NJ; Jim and his wife Vivian of Herndon, VA; and Barry and his wife Jodi of Goldfield Ranch, AZ; her grandchildren; Jennifer Fields and her husband James, Wendy Lakenan and her husband Bill, Lauren Boyle and her husband Kevin, Jason Storms and his wife Sarah, Danielle Storms, Connor Storms and Kyle Storms; and her 8 great- grandchildren. Relatives and friends may attend her viewing from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Lacey Memorial Home 1022 Lacey Road Forked River, NJ 08731. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am Friday, July 17, 2015 at St. Pius X RC Church, 300 Lacey Road Forked River, NJ. Burial will be private in the Brig. Gen. WC Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
