Dolores Dwyer

Dolores R. Dwyer, 93, of Forked River passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at home. Born in Bloomfield, she grew up and lived in Harrison before moving to Forked River in 1986. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Dwyer worked for Hyatt Roller Bearing, a division of General Motors in Clark for many years. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, and all of the activities of living on the water-fishing, crabbing and boating. More than anything, she liked spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John "Flip" Dwyer, her daughter-in-law Cindy, and her brother and sister-in-law William and Betty Colgate. She is survived by her children, Colleen, Jacqueline and John Dwyer; her brother, John Colgate and his wife Betty; her grandchildren, Ian, Colin, John, Ryan, Caity, Christian and Bridget; her great-grandson Johnny; and a great-granddaughter on the way. Visitation will be on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 6-9pm at Forked River Funeral and Cremation Service, 1022 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30am Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Holy Cross RC Church, Harrison. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
