Dolores E. Cerchio, age 95, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Tallwoods Care Center in Bayville. Born in North Bergen, she lived inJersey City, Lodi, Toms River, NJ, Deerfield Beach, Florida before returning to New Jersey. Dolores worked for Western Electric during WW2 and later was asales associate for Macys Toms River and Lord Taylor in Boca Raton, Floridawhere she developed a flair for fashion. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Most importantly her greatest desire was to be with and to be loved by her family.She will be dearly missed. Predeceased by her husband David Cerchio Sr. in 2002; and her son Neil J. Cerchio in 1994 Dolores is survived by her 4 children, a son and three daughters: David Cerchio Jr and his wife Pauline Cerchio Of Toms River, daughters Linda Stamnes and William Stamnes of Palm Coast Fl, Gail Besser and Leonard Besser of Conway, SC, BarbaraMatthews and Brett Matthews of Boca Raton, Fl. She also is survived by her sister Antoinette Carlovich and her brother Alfred Tutino Jr.; her grandchildren, Christopher and Melissa Stamnes, Kirstie Marino, Joseph Cala, Brielle and Faith Cerchio, Neil Cerchio Jr, and Denise Caulkins and Michael Besser as well as her 12 Great-grandchildren and extended family members. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 between 2 and 4 pm at Lacey Memorial Home 1022 Lacey Road Forked River. PrivateInterment will be on Monday, March 11, 2019 in the Brig. Gen. WC Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ In lieu of flowers donations can be made to POAC Autism Services in the name of Christopher Michael Stamnes and in memory of Dolores E.
