Amanda M. Plessis

Amanda Marija (Kristbergs) Plessis, 41, of Forked River, NJ passed away on December 7, 2023.

Funeral Service will be held at Village Lutheran Church on Sunday, December 17, 2023. Visitation will be held at 3:00pm with a Memorial Service at 4:00pm. Repast will immediately follow.

Amanda was born in Lakewood to Jan and Valerie Kristbergs on February 20, 1982. She attended both Lakewood and Lacey public schools where she excelled at creative writing, musical, and audio-visual arts.

Among Amanda’s many talents and qualities, it was her empathy, compassion, and enthusiasm for life that connected her with and brought light to so many others. It was these same qualities that inspired her career of service to vulnerable populations and their families.

Amanda is survived by her children Sofia and Troy Plessis, her loving parents, Jan and Valerie Kristbergs, and sisters Marissa (Kristbergs) Satzman, Viktoria Kristbergs, and Karijana Kristbergs.

To continue Amanda’s mission to help rescue animals, memorial donations can be made to the Monmouth County SPCA or the Associated Humane Society. Plans for a scholarship in her name are forthcoming.
