Alyssa M Vicente

ALYSSA M. VICENTE, age 19, of Lanoka Harbor, passed away from complications of a double lung transplant on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Newark Beth Israel Hospital. Diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis as an infant, she fought a courageous battle with grace, staying positive until the end. Born in Toms River, she was a lifelong Ocean County resident. Alyssa loved to write poetry, listen to music, (every song was her Jam) and take pictures, especially selfies; she had a PLL obsession, never missing an episode; but most of all she loved to hang out with her family and friends. Alyssa touched so many lives, bringing hope and joy to all who knew her, she will be forever missed and remembered. Alyssa is survived by her mom, Christina and step-dad, Eugene of Lanoka Harbor; her dad Tom and step-mom Darlene of Toms River; 2 sisters Noelle and Bobbie; brother Mason; and many other relatives and friends. A viewing will be on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Lacey Memorial Home 1022 Lacey Road Forked River. A Celebration of Alyssas Life will begin at 8:00pm on Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated in memory of Alyssa.
