Alice M Young

Alice May Young, 89, of Forked River, NJ passed away peacefully of natural causes on Monday, October 23, 2023.

Alice was born on February 14, 1934, in Glens Falls, NY. She lived in many states over the years, settling in Forked River NJ in 2010 to be close to her oldest son and granddaughter where she lived independently until 2022. Alice is predeceased by her husband Delevan Paul in 2009 and brothers, Warren, Fred James, and Jack. Alice is survived by three sons, Gregory of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, Timothy of Augusta, GA, and Lance, location unknown and one daughter, Crystal Cairrel of Missouri City, TX; her beloved granddaughters, Bethany McCarthy of Bayville, NJ, and Ivory Roberts, of Missouri City, TX; and great-grandchildren Connor, Braden, Iver and Aver. Alice never met a stranger, welcoming everyone into her inner circle and maintaining long friendships. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and treasured friend to all who knew her.

Alice will be laid to rest beside her husband Delevan at 10:00 a.m. on November 10, 2023, at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, 2900 Washington Road, McMurray, PA. Following the ceremony, family, and friends are invited to gather at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 164 Fort Couch Road, Pittsburgh, PA for brunch.
